Our logo: The colibri represents water & life
“Once upon a time…” there was a rocky island in the middle of the ocean. There was no grass, no life just rocks. Then a hummingbird showed up. Every day, it brought a few drops of water. Over time, the island turned green. Moss and grass grew, small animals arrived, and life flourished.
This is what algae can do in our world today: bring water, life, and nutrients to dry and remote places and help build ecosystems around them. Algae are not only a source of food and feed; they can also enrich the soil and support plant growth.

2020
The Beginning
In 2020, we began exploring ideas around microalgae and their potential. In 2021, that vision took shape with the creation of our company in Germany, marking the beginning of our journey.
2022
Exploring Microalgae
In 2022, we started Viride Maroc and began turning our vision into reality. In 2022–2023, we built our first cultivation ponds at Tamaya, taking our first steps into microalgae production.
2024
Innovation Takes Shape
In 2024, we took a major step forward with large-scale equipment, improving our production capacity, efficiency, and cultivation processes.
2026
Alga Naturals
In 2025, we focused on optimizing our production and refining our processes. In 2026, we founded Alga Naturals, opening a new chapter focused on bringing the potential of microalgae into everyday products.

Viride Maroc
develops microalgae production in southern Morocco, taking advantage of Dakhla’s natural conditions: abundant sunlight, access to seawater and warm temperatures. Its pilot facility covers approximately 10,000 m² across seven basins, where Viride optimizes the cultivation of different microalgae.
